Place a Tome of Town Portal, and Wirt's PegLeg (you should have picked it up when you were in Tristram, rescuing Cain.) in the Horadric Cube and transmute. Using the Waypoint system, portal back to the Rogue Encampment in Act I (click on the tabs at the top of the Waypoint menu to get to other Acts). PoD had cow maps apparently.Remember all those times in Tristram, when you walked over to the cows, and clicked on them, just for the heck of it? Well, the cows haven't forgotten about it, and they want revenge!Īfter you have defeated Diablo (or Baal, if you're playing the expansion), start a new game, in the same difficulty level that you just completed.if you just killed Diablo in a Normal game, start a Normal game.if you just killed him in a nightmare game, start a nightmare game. It kind of reminds me of those goblin portals in D3 that spawned a shit ton of goblins everywhere but with cows.Įdit: I never played PoD, I get it. OR you could just make creating the cow level have a chance to proc The Secret Cow Level+++ which would be a little more exciting than just trading for the item over and over. This could be a rare drop so it's not a form of "farming" but one of those items that drops every now and then and gives you the option of trading it for a small profit or running it for potentially large profit. Imagine the cow level with 200% mob density and i87 drops or some of the mods maps give. What if the dev team created a new item that can be transmuted with Wirt's leg that will buff The Secret Cow Level similar to maps. Cows hold a special place in the majority of D2 player's hearts (IMO) With that said, I think in season 2 we should add something to make the cow level a little more "fun" Maps are cool, the idea has been around for some now and it's not really new to anyone.
